I decided today to stop for a moment, breathe, take some time to connect with myself and reflect on it all.
When I was first asked if I wanted to be a part of this early in 2019, I didn’t really think about it at length. What I did instead was trust my intuition and jump in head-first. It sounded just like the thing I had been thinking about for a while but hadn’t actually managed to pull off yet. I knew that I worked well with at least Debi because we had already been working together at the Pagan Federation and the first impressions of Rose were that she was delightfully up front and incredibly easy to get along with. Knowing all that, what was there to think about right!
So, the big question for me to reflect on here has to be why am I keen to be involved? What is my reasoning for wanting to be a part of WPF and put in the time to help it grow other than the chance to work with great people?
When I first saw the website, I was impressed by the sheer amount of resources available for finding out about witchcraft of varying kinds. As a beginner 24 years ago this kind of information was still hard to find without knowing the right people or stumbling across the right literature. The internet was yet to be born and unless you were lucky, it was a tough path to choose. Reason number one then is that I want to be a part of making it easier for new witches to find reliable information they can trust because I didn’t have that when I needed it.
I also realised that one aspect of being a witch was largely missing from that wealth of information and that was my own speciality – healing. Not that everyone who is a witch is drawn to healing work but it’s a valuable aspect both for helping others and to grow ourselves whether it fulfils an immediate need or is a path to follow and explore more fully. Reason number two then was so I could have a platform to pass on the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years.
I’m also a person that loves to learn and I knew that there was opportunity here for me to stretch and challenge myself in lots of different ways that I hadn’t had the chance to before. How exciting!
It turns out then that I’m here for some really good reasons, and along the way I get the chance to help others learn, achieve their own goals and step into their own brilliance just as much as I’m doing that for myself and all because I decided to dive in head first and trust that feeling I had that this was going to be a good thing to be involved with. Intuition can easily be confused for other feelings but this time I got it right – maybe there’s a deeper understanding to be gained here about listening to my intuition when it really is my intuition and not fear or self-doubt? More pondering required on that one I think!
One thing I do know for sure now is that I’m here for the right reasons and those why’s will help me to keep on doing when I feel lost or like giving up. They’ll keep me motivated and inspired to keep putting one foot in front of the other whatever else is going on.
Thank you for listening while I rambled through my thoughts, see you on the site!
Bright blessings,
