Now I am not, repeat NOT saying that if you do a little magic spell for some extra money and your Great Aunt Gertrude drops dead and leaves you an inheritance then you are to blame. Read that sentence again….slowly…. Its remarkable how many novice witches seem to think they are the cause of every calamity on the planet! Trust me, you would need a hell of a lot of specific intent to pull something like that off and you really don’t need to worry about doing it by accident. But the warning is valid – be too vague with your intent and likely as not your magic won’t work the way you want it to.
The best way to work magic is to really think through the implications of what you want to achieve. Then translate that intention to a specific wording. Magic works on an interpretation of your meaning. Vague and random wording may get the wrong result but literal and immediate attempts to work magic will probably get very little results at all. No matter how hard you try to visualise a stack of £50 notes appearing on your kitchen table, it’s not going to happen!
The spells that really work focus your specific intent into a general purpose. Complicated? Nobody said being a witch was easy…..
