ANSWER - I am very sorry to hear about your mother but very glad to hear she is a survivor and one of the winners in the battle against cancer.
Pain relief through witchcraft is a tricky subject. There are a few ways it can be achieved but in the main it isn’t an area where a novice at magic can do well. We’ll look at a few different options but I’m going to advise you not to get your hopes up too much. Conventional medicine is working wonders with cancer and is your mother’s best bet toward making her recovery back to full health.
Crystal healing is probably the most common way to tackle pain. This can be achieved in two ways – there are crystals said to have the properties of healing properties and relieving pain (amethyst, celestite, calcite,) and there are crystals that calm the mind and allow the sufferer to relax through and overcome the pain (blue kyanite, blue lace agate, selenite). These are no substitute for the high strength painkillers your mother’s doctor will have prescribed but as a supplement may provide her with some additional relief.
There are individuals with the ability to separate their mind from their physical body and so escape the pain in that way. This isn’t something I have ever tried and I would imagine it involves a good deal of experience with astral travel and/or meditation so unless your mother has experience of this it probably isn’t a likely solution for her.
There are healing practitioners who would be able to assist your mother with the pain. This is sometimes achieved through hypnosis but others do genuinely have the ability to heal through touch. Again this may not be a very practical solution for you as it involves finding somebody in your local area with these abilities and it can be very difficult to discern between a genuine healer and a charlatan after taking your money. Have a look on Witchvox to see if there is anyone in your area who comes recommended and may be willing to visit.
There are meditative techniques that can combat pain. One of the most used is to focus on the pain as a small ball of white light within the mind and to visualise the pressure building and building until it shatters and explodes the pain into fragments. Again you’d probably need a bit of a background in meditation to make the most out of this kind of technique but it is certainly worth a go. Meditation can also be very helpful in that it calms the mind and reduces tension the body and it has been observed (I’m not quoting science here, just general observation) that pain is experienced worse in a tense body than a relaxed one.
Finally I believe it is very important not to overlook the importance of attitude. The belief the pain can and will be conquered is a really important part of the recovery process. Help your mother stay positive and help her to believe she will come through this. Magic is about intent and the ability of the mind to project intention to a desired outcome. This can be an invaluable tool in self healing.
