QUESTION - I prayed a banishing prayer in my home because a friend had betrayed me and would not meet to "clear the air". I was unsure of their intentions and wanted my home and family safe. We have since met and are committed to build our friendship back. Is there a way to allow them back in my home? It has been 8 months since I said the prayer.
ANSWER A banishing spell does not erect a physical barrier that will prevent someone from entering your house. Cast correctly it certainly may deter an individual from coming to your house but it will not actually prevent them from entering if you invite them. I think you are taking the idea of banishing too literally – magic does not work in quite such a linear manner as your question suggests. Magic works in a much more roundabout way, so casting a spell to prevent someone coming to your home will have an impact on circumstances bringing them to your home but it will not erect a magical force field that will stop them from doing so.
The key thing with this as with all magic is the actualisation of your intent and will. If your intention has changed since you completed this spell work then in my view the change of intent alone would undo the spell. To be certain however it may be an idea to salt your doorways with the purpose of cleansing away any workings still in place. But the key thing is to be clear with your intent. Openly and warmly invite your friend back into your home and I am confident there will be no negative repercussions for either of you.
